MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr "a number of small companies in Cornwall presently make cash from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this kind of market going it does require simply a bit of lift which comes in the kind of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a mix of conventional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
