But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually pressed up the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into . It's showing lucrative too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
